If you’re like me you are likely exhausted from all the stress that comes with the holidays and the end of the year.
Some of my greatest memories from previous holidays is not the presents, but the experiences. It’s sitting around watching holiday movies, decorating the house, cooking and playing games and laughing with my family.
I’m excited for the holiday break because it gives us a chance to rest, play and catch up. I encourage you to do the same. Take time to enjoy fun conversations with your children. Being home with downtime has often led to real conversations. I’ve shared some of my personal experiences in my recent book, The Parenting Odyssey: Trials, Treasures, and Triumphs of Parenting in a Pandemic. Not sure where to begin? Check out my free download, Conscious Conversations to help you get started.
Whether you start chatting in the car while cruising on a road trip or your baking cookies, conscious conversations create awareness, understanding and connection with your children. Being Present is Powerful.
Let’s stay connected and share how you sparked some conscious conversations with your children during the holidays.
Happy Holidays,
LaShonda
